In season (May to October) you can fly direct to Chania with one of the charter operators (see below). You can also fly to Heraklion but there will then be a connecting journey of 2 to 3 hours so do this only as a last resort. All charter flights go to and from Crete on a Tuesday.
Outside of the summer season flights are routed through Athens. You can get very reasonably priced seats with some scheduled flight operators if you book early and/or if you are willing to fly at night.
Easyjet to and from Athens is very competitive, in or out of season, especially if booking early, but the short onward flight from Athens to Chania is likely to cost rather more than the London /Athens leg.
Transfer to your villa.
If hiring a car, it will be waiting at the airport or ferry port. You will have been sent a detailed map showing how to find your villa. Our representatives will be manning a ‘phone to help if you lose your way. It is a 30 minute or so drive from Chania airport to Almerida and another 10 minutes on to Kokkino Chorio.
If not hiring a car, you can take a taxi from the airport and it will cost you around 15 to 20 euros
